<DescriptionText><text>
The nvs parameter load lsd tells us the distance between the length sensor and
the lower skew sensor. This sensor must be calibrated.
To calibrate load lsd, type set load lsd 1143, to start from a reasonable guess.
Then load a bay with a known plate size using 'cb <n> load' (the chosen plate
size must be less than 44" around the drum!!) and ensure that the correct plate
size is entered ('set state bay <n> ssz <size along the drum>' and 'set state
bay <n> msz <size around the drum>'). Use the 'pick <n>' command to pick a plate
and watch the diagnostic monitor. Just before the line 'Pick Complete' you will
see a line which shows 'measured plate length ##.## mm, error ##.## mm'. The error
is the change required to the calibration parameter load lsd (since the plate length
was entered correctly the measurement must be off by error ##). Therefore, you must
add the error ##.## to load lsd and save this new parameter. For example, if we start
with load lsd = 1143 mm and a 25" (635.0 mm) tall plate and see measured plate length
632.1 mm, error -2.9 mm at the end of the pick, then we must type 'set load lsd 1140.1'
to calibrate load lsd. Note that 1140.1 = 1143 (our original guess) + -2.9 (our error).
Note also that the error can be positive or negative. Remember to save your changes
with 'nvs save load'. After calibrating load lsd you should do another pick from that
bay to verify that the calibration was successful. Before you do the pick, type set
'state bay <n> lm 0'. This will ensure that the plate length gets measured again,
as we normally only measure the first plate out of a box after loading. You should see
an error which is consistently less than +/- 0.5 mm for several tries.

<DescriptionText><text>
This must be set up by picking plates of know size and noting the error.
Note that only the first plate out of a box after it has been loaded is measured.
Refer to VLF MPE f/w release notes for V2.16.
